In every role I’ve held in LPTexas, my purpose has been the same, to strengthen the party from the inside, building a support structure to prepare the party for our continued growth.

I was integral in the development of the organizational structure that has raised this party up so we are no longer functioning on the work of 1-5 people at any given time. I helped to develop the interview structure for staff and county chairs so SLEC could be more involved in the hiring process while working to minimize the politicization of our county chair selections.

The very templates we are still providing to county chairs for holding their conventions have only received small changes since I created and implemented them in 2018. It was the Credentials Committee that I chaired that adapted our convention process to allow for the seating of alternate delegates for the first time in LPTexas history.

In my time as Secretary, I have used my familiarity with our Bylaws, the Bylaws of SLEC, and our policy manual to ensure we are in compliance with the standards we set for ourselves as well as those we are required to follow by the State of Texas. With that, I have been able to refine processes involving candidate notices/applications, and local conventions. It is work like this that I would like to continue to do to ensure that when new activists, volunteers, candidates, and members reach out to the party there is a healthy structure for them to reach for.

I want to see a world set free in my lifetime, and I believe the party is still the best way to achieve that. Toward that end, my purpose in the party is to prepare us for what comes next, and I believe I best serve that purpose as LPTexas Secretary.

I welcome contact from any party members who would like to discuss my campaign or my goals for the party moving forward. If you intend to call, please give me a heads up first so I can assure my phone doesn’t screen your call. Thank you, and I look forward to seeing y’all in Corpus!

Goal One

Facilitate a more effective SLEC through better communication vertically and laterally resulting in a body the membership feels like it can trust as a whole.

Goal Two

Further develop and adapt work structures to distribute work loads more effectively among staff and volunteers to increase LPTexas’ effectiveness throughout the entire political calendar.

Goal Three

Increase the ease of compliance for SLEC and County Affiliates through training, templates, and forms so our growth is sustained term over term.
